Tips to to preparing for the FHA appraisal:
- Must have 8 inches of slab showing
- Fencing if touching siding or wood must have 6” clearance
- If firewood on property, keep away from house and have at least 1” off the ground
- All utilities must be turned on
- Cracked exit doors must be replaced
- Trim trees that may touch the roof
- Make sure water heater is 18” off the floor
- Make sure any burglar bars open from the inside
